Not that long ago, we could see nature everywhere...

We lived within it. We were aware of what we took from it and gave back to it. We shaped our lives around its rhythms.
But generation after generation — village after city after megalopolis — we walled ourselves in and stepped away. We built systems that felt self-contained, and forgot what made them possible.
Because whatever you’re building, selling, moving, growing, playing, coding, generating, or financing: You’re using nature.
That’s why Lemu exists. We make nature visible.
Not just to survive, but to continue to live and thrive.
We make nature visible.
Nature is everywhere — but in most decisions, it’s invisible. At Lemu, we’re closing that gap with science and technology that make ecosystems legible, measurable, and actionable. Because what we can see, we can protect.
We turn complexity into clarity.
Nature is complex — and that’s a good thing. We build tools that embrace ecological richness, not reduce it. We help translate what’s hard to measure into insight that’s ready to use, without ever simplifying what makes nature whole.

Lemu began with a question
Why are we using our most powerful technologies — AI, cloud computing, planetary-scale data — to optimise ads, clicks, and screen time, while the natural world goes unmeasured?
We believe humanity’s greatest strengths — science and technology — should be focused on our greatest challenge: the environmental crisis.
And from the start, we knew it had to be about all of nature — not just emissions or climate models, but ecosystems, species, and the intricate relationships between them.
That meant embracing complexity, not reducing it — and building tools that could help people act without flattening the richness of the natural world.
As we talked to scientists, policymakers, and communities around the world, one thing became clear: there is a global nature data gap.
We track billions of human signals, yet we generate almost no data about the ecosystems we depend on. That gap exists everywhere — in wealthy countries and vulnerable ones alike. We assumed satellites would help fill it, but quickly learned none were designed to truly see biodiversity.
So we started building. First, a satellite — Lemu Nge. Then a platform — Atlas. Together, they turn complexity into clarity, and help make nature visible again.
Today, Lemu exists to serve those who care about life on Earth — and need better ways to understand, monitor, and protect it.
From scientists to environmental teams, from land stewards to investors, we’re working with organizations across sectors and continents. We’re not just building technology. We’re building relationships — between people and ecosystems, between data and actions, and between the economy and the living systems it depends on.

Nobody achieves anything alone
From field scientists to climate economists, from indigenous stewards to data engineers — everything we do is built with others.
We’re a global team working alongside partners who care, grounded in kindness, rigour, and the shared belief that life on Earth is worth understanding.
We’re from the forest.
We’re Lemuches.
“Lemuche” means people from the forest in Mapudungun — and that’s how we see ourselves.
We use technology to serve ecology. We build with respect and empathy. And everything we do is shaped by the values we carry, not just the products we make.
Our Values:
- Kindness.
We lead with empathy, listen before acting, and build trust over ego. - Collective Intelligence.
We know nobody achieves anything alone. We work across disciplines and cultures, with humility and openness. - Excellence.
We strive for rigour in everything — from code to communication — because protecting nature deserves our best. - Infinite Learning.
The natural world is always evolving. So are we. We learn from science, from each other, from those who preceded us, and from our mistakes. - Oddness.
We celebrate the weird, the curious, the unconventional. Because outliers are part of nature too.
